Unlike traditional skylights, Solatube® tubular skylights transmit indirect, diffused daylight that reduces potential UV ray damage to carpets and soft furnishings. Solatube® is designed to distribute natural light evenly throughout the room with no harsh shaft of direct sunlight entering the room. The reflector and prisms in the roof dome collect maximum direct and indirect light yet the dome itself has a relatively small surface area which means that heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer are minimal. Solatube® is also discreet, meaning minimal impact on your home's architecture.

• · 250mm diameter Solatube® is our most compact tubular skylight with an effective lighting area of up to 13 sq metres (150 sq ft). It is most suited to applications such as window-less bathrooms, hallways, attics, small stairwells and walk-in closets. Accessories include an integral electric light kit and bathroom ventilation system.
   
• · 350mm diameter Solatube® – with an effective lighting area of up to 22 sq metres (250 sq ft), suitable for larger rooms in the home such as living spaces, kitchens, large stairwells, playrooms and bedrooms. An integral electric light kit is available.
